Supported by the Arts Council. Beckett’s Room is a co-production with the Gate Theatre, Dublin. It was presented in Dublin Theatre Festival. Co-comissioned by Irish Arts Center and Warwick Arts Centre. Development was supported by the National Theatre Studio and the Trinity College Creative Challenge Award. The project was supported by the Goethe Institut, Dublin, and Dublin City Council.

Dead Centre
 
Dead Centre was founded by Bush Moukarzel and Ben Kidd in Dublin in 2012, and have gained a reputation as one of Ireland’s most innovative and exciting companies over that time. They have created five shows independently in Dublin, including the hugely acclaimed Beckett’s Room (“Devastating” – Independent on Sunday). Their work – including LIPPY and Chekhov’s First Play - has toured to over 20 different countries, including to BAM in New York, Schaubüne in Berlin, ITA in Amsterdam, and the Young Vic in London, as well as playing in Hong Kong, St Petersburg, Boston, Brisbane, and throughout the world. Their shows have won multiple awards including Irish Times Award for Best Production, 2 OBIEs, and a Fringe First. In 2020 their work To Be a Machine  (Version 1.0) was streamed live to audiences at home and has since toured (virtually) to Forum IMPACT, Theatre de Liège (Belgium). They also made a German language version called Die Maschine in Mir (2020) in partnership with Burgtheater, Vienna, featuring Michael Maertens. As well as their independent work, they have made projects at Schaubühne, Berlin (Shakespeare’s Last Play, 2018) and at Burgtheater, Vienna, including The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud (2020) and Alles, was der Fall ist  which premiered in April 2021.
