The main programme of the 5th International Forest Festival features four productions, from England, France, Switzerland and Italy respectively. Formally eclectic, multimedia, participatory and performed by small and flexible groups, the works form a mosaic that is relevant to, and interacts with, Thessaloniki's theatre-loving public. The artists experiment with form and digital media, put their own personal experiences up on stage, interact with the audience, and express their concerns about the relationship between reality and technology, politics and history, participation and democracy, but also about gender, human relations, art and society.
