Sotterraneo is a theatre collective set up in Florence in 2005. Their pieces are easily recognizable for their avant-pop approach, combining collective imagination with unconventional thinking. Over the years, they have created several shows which were showcased in major national and international theatres – in Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Chile and China. The shows obtained a number of awards including Premio Lo Straniero, Premio Hystrio, BeFestival First Prize, Silver Laurel Wreath Award/Sarajevo MESS Festival, as well as three UBU awards. Sotterraneo is part of the Fies Factory, is Associate Artist at Piccolo Teatro di Milano and is resident at Associazione Teatrale Pistoiese Production Centre.
 
Anna-Maria Iakovou is a graduate of the School of Drama (2021, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), with a major in directing and acting. Since the early 2010s, and especially 2016 onwards, she is professionally involved within Thessaloniki’s art sector in multiple and diverse ways, collaborating with alternative, as well as institutional theatre groups and organizations, such as the National Theatre of Northern Greece, at which she is currently working (Artistic Production and Literature Department). During the years, she has found herself in different positions of artmaking, such as the one of the actress, director, dramaturg, writer, or member of the production team, collaborating with Yannis Moschos, Vassilis Papavassileiou, Thomas Velissaris etc. Additionally, she has been a founding member of Dulcinea Compania, which is funded from the Ministry of Culture (2022-2023) and Monstrare Art Group, as well as of Stain-Art Magazine. Her educational background includes a BA degree in Law (2014, Faculty of Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).
